Eagle Rare 17 Year 2015 stands as a masterpiece that began its journey at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfurt, Kentucky, in 1975. During a period of declining whisky sales, Master Distiller Charles Beam seized the moment to introduce more aged and premium products. Initially bottled at 101 proof, this bourbon redefined the luxury spirit market and positioned itself as a competitor to Wild Turkey.

In 1989, The Sazerac Company acquired several brands, including Eagle Rare, and by 1992, they had taken ownership of Buffalo Trace Distillery. The brand transitioned from the 101-proof version to the 90-proof version known today in 2005. Following updates to the facility in 2012, the ten-year age statement was removed, and the single barrel proof signifier was dropped, allowing for a more efficient blending of unique barrel flavors into one cohesive bottle.

Eagle Rare whiskey, aged for no less than ten years, has consistently been celebrated for its smooth and delightful taste.
