Produced from Mash Bill #1, like other distinguished spirits such as Buffalo Trace, E.H. Taylor, and George T. Stagg, this bourbon is a sour mash of corn, rye, and malted barley with a lower rye content compared to Mash Bill #2.

History

Double Eagle Very Rare 2019 Bourbon is a collector’s gem, presented in a striking bottle featuring two sculptured crystal glass eagles. Only 199 bottles were produced, each accompanied by a numbered letter of authenticity. Originating from the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfurt, Kentucky, this bourbon was developed during a period when whiskey sales were notably low. Master distiller Charles Beam seized this opportunity to introduce more aged and premium products.

In 1989, The Sazerac Company acquired several brands including Eagle Rare, and in 1992, they purchased Buffalo Trace Distillery. Eagle Rare whiskey, aged for a minimum of ten years, has consistently been a smooth and flavorful whiskey, earning numerous awards over the years.

The Eagle Rare Life Program, initiated in 2011, celebrates community heroes through touching stories of their impactful work.
